Updating of WP Invoice causes the wp admin to be stuck on the usability dynamics info screen

Disable your cache plugin for a while, update wp-invoice and enable cache plugin again. If there is no option to do that from backend of your site, do that via ftp, just rename cache plugin, update wp-invoice on backend, and then rename cache plugin back.
